My Makeup Story: A Korean Love Affair

I'm a makeup junkie. I can't help it and I can't stop myself from trying to feed this addiction of mine.

I swoon over pictures of makeup, especially those with cute packaging like TonyMoly, Etude, Peripera and basically every Korean makeup company in existence.

They look so scrumptious!!

All of my HNNGGGSSS!!!!

I'll just keep this for display purposes.

Frothing mouths and wallet holes aside, these darlings are very pigmented, effective, high quality and oftentimes superior to Western brands for only a fraction of the cost! They're not only eye candy but they're also very true to what they advertise as well.

Koreans are arguably some of the vainest people around and because of that they have almost perfected the art of makeup and effective skincare products. They strive for quality and results without breaking the bank, hence their products are far more superior compared to their Western counterparts. Most of the time they really deliver what they promise, albeit with extra quirky or just pure vanity centered slogans.

Except for this misleading ad. I can cite at least 3 makeup products that were applied to his face.

After a series chock full of trial and error I've finally settled on Korean cosmetics and the occasional Japanese products. Japanese products are VERY expensive but I noticed they are slightly superior to the Korean ones but because of the price difference I opted to stay with my prettily packaged Korean loves. And did I mention that the variety in Korean cosmetics is SUPER wide? I could spend years worth of my money and still wont be able to collect or try everything! They have everything you will ever want and more! From base to finish they have everything and with different add-ons like whitening, anti-sebum, moisturizer, sunblock, etc. Korean cosmetics wont only make you look better during application, they'll also nourish your skin!

Take that anti-makeup fags!!!

There's just so many items and brands to choose from!

Like I mentioned before, since there's so much to chose from there's a high chance of confusion and wallet emptying to follow if you don't know what to get. Soon I will be reviewing my favorite products and show you some of my hauls and which ones are worth stocking up on.

Thank you for taking the time to read and I hope to see you in the next post!!!
